My Thoughts in 24 Hours in Broadway Show Tunes

Yesterday morning: "One Day More" from Les Miserables

Tomorrow is the judgement day,
Tomorrow we'll discover
What our God in Heaven has in store--
One more dawn,
One more day,
One day more.

Yesterday, 11:00 PM: "I Whistle a Happy Tune" from The King and I

While shivering in my shoes,
I strike a careless pose,
And whistle a happy tune,
So no one ever knows I'm afraid.

Today, 3:30 AM: "Camelot: Reprise" from Camelot

Ask ev'ry person if he's heard the story,
And tell it strong and clear if he has not,
That once there was a fleeting wisp of glory
Called Camelot . . .

Don't let it be forgot,
That once there was a spot,
For one brief shining moment that was known
As Camelot.

Today, 9:30 AM: "The Impossible Dream" from The Man of La Mancha

To dream the impossible dream,
To fight the unbeatable foe,
To bear with unbearable sorrow,
To run where the brave dare not go . . .

This is my quest,
To follow that star
No matter how hopeless,
No matter how far.
To fight for the right
Without question or pause,
To be willing to march
Into hell for a heavenly cause.

Today, 2:00 PM: "Defying Gravity" from Wicked

I'm through accepting limits,
'Cause someone says they're so.

Some things I cannot change,
But till I try I'll never know . . .

And nobody, in all of Oz,
No wizard that there is or was,
Is ever gonna bring me down!
