Blogmas Day 17: Decking the Halls

Today's post will be very brief if I'm to get it up before midnight--we've been decking the halls all evening and I haven't had a spare minute! Tonight we put up all of our decorations except for the tree and our miniature Christmas village, which require a whole day unto themselves. The rest of our decorating is so simple that it can be done in one day, since we don't hang lights anywhere but the tree and don't use a lot of elaborate garlands. Instead, we decorate using nature-inspired materials like faux fruit and faux holly in a Colonial Williamsburg Christmas style. Here's an example of our window decor from two years ago--excuse the bad lighting, please!
